Purification and Separation

I was studying o'chem section in kaplan blue book and I saw a chapter on purification and separation. Do you guys think this chapter must be studied? Has anyone saw any question about purification and separation technique on the DAT? Thanks in advance.

I quickly skimmed over. I had nothing on the real DAT about it.

I actually was reading that chapter today. I havent seen any questions on a any practice tests. My buddy who took the DAT last August said he had one question on Chromatography dealing with Rf values. But i really dont think they would ask anything in depth..that would suck if there was...

when i took my DAT in april, there was a question, which asked what technique is not similar to the others.....it had all the chromatography types, than it had a NMR, which was the answer.
