I have my test scheduled August 7th atm but I don't feel ready for RC or QR
I'm averaging a 20 for the sciences and PAT, but for RC I feel like I'm at an 18 and QR I haven't attempted because I'm currently too slow

Is pushing it to August 21st too late for this cycle? My AADSAS application has already been mailed out

AADSAS oGPA=3.72 and sGPA=3.79
And I'm Canadian if being 'international' makes a difference with being competitive

Its not too late but it is pushing it. Check deadlines for schools and then decide.

The earliest deadline for my schools is November 1st
You will meet the deadlines, however schools will be already sending out interviews. If you do good on the DAT then you should get some interviews though.

I also rescheduled mine (for the 4th time!) and will be taking it in mid-Aug. I think it's best not to take it if you don't feel ready yet...

I believe you made a smart decision rescheduling, because you are a Canadian student it is very important you score high on the DAT to be competitive. From my experience through years of working with students, if your gut instinct is alerting you that you are not fully prepared in those sections it is best to listen. The DAT is very challenging with many many different versions so it is best to fully prepare for whatever may come your way. You don't want to take the DAT Beast more than once..

Just my 2 cents

Wishing you the best ...Nancy

Thank you for your response! It's reassuring to have insight from someone who is as experienced as yourself regarding application and DAT issues. I'm most likely going to reschedule then if it does not put me too late the application cycle.

Just look at it like this, if you take it prematurely and do not score well, you have to wait 90 days for retake, that will definitely affect you getting in this cycle, postponing a few weeks and scoring high in my opinion is always the best option. If you have a certain school in mind, you might consider call them directly.

Excellent advice!!!! No one wants to face the DAT Beast more than once, slay it the first time..
