Ok, lets say you have an interview that is too far to drive to, at a school that isnt exactly your top choice. So you decide to take the plane, and if u have to fly acroos country, lets say its $500. Now, lets say you don't get a student host and hvae to pay $100 for a hotel and food and stuff adds up to $50. That is $650 total and a whole day of stressing. Sure you get to see new things and check out the schools, but the first half of your interview day would most likely be spent worrying about the interview.
