less vertical overlap of anterior teeth , the shorter the cusps must be .With little incisal guidance from this end to end relationship , the shorter cusps must be to allow smooth protusive movements.
the greater vertical overlap of anterior teeth , longer cusps must be.The anterior teeth contact immediately and dissocclude the posterior teeth.
the greater the horizontal overlap of anterior teeth , the shorter the cusp must be to allow for a smooth protusive movement untill the anterior teeth contact.
the less horizontal overlap of anterior teeth , the longer the cusp may be since the teeth contact immediately and dissocclude the posterior teeth.
Can somebody explain pls.
