Just got my acceptance to PWNU; was originally planning on committing to ICOM. Planning on doing admitted students day to ICOM and hopefully also for PWNU. I am currently not worrying about financial burdens, I will make it work for either program-- my worry and concern lays in quality of the program for making a good doctor. please share any wisdom you might have!

PWNU pros:
  1. more established program
  2. most rotations seem to be in Washington, a few in not to far states
  3. pass/fail grading
  4. good match rate
PWNU cons:
  1. Not a lot of things to do there, it's yakima after all...
  2. board scores are below the national average
  3. possible rotation locations in Alaska
  4. said to have poorer research opportunities

ICOM pros:
  1. nice and safe location
  2. apple-based school, high tech
  3. good board scores for all classes + good match rates
  4. rotations are promised to remain in 1 area for the year so students don't have to move around
ICOM cons:
  1. rotation locations are in Idaho and beyond in the midwest (CA baby here, never seen the snow)
  2. newer program

In terms of quality of program, you won’t go wrong with PNWU which is more established and has solid history of match lists. On the other hand, ICOM is a for-profit med school (which may not be well-suited for you). I would recommend reading these two links before making a final decision:
1) For-Profit Medical Schools, Once Banished, Are Sneaking Back
2)
