I was recently talking to a friend of mine.
He described Ross University as a 'cut throat' school and that every year they let go of a bunch of students that are at the bottom of the percentile ranks.
Just wanted to verify it with you guys if this was true or not?

Thanks,
😎

Well, your friend is kind of wrong. Ross is like any other medical school in the States. However, they accept a lot of "high risks" student with low GPA or low MCAT or low GPA and MCAT. They give oppurtunities to those who want to become doctor but can't get into US medical school. Alot of those high risk students dont change their mindset to do well at Ross. Hence the righ attrition rate becasue those students are still lazy at Ross. But if you are a hard working student and give your best at Ross you should do good and land a US residency. However, if you are a slacker and still a slacker at Ross then you will be kicked off the island like 'Survivor.' :meanie:

Braveheart summed it up nicely.

It is easier to get accepted to Ross but it is harder to succeed (when compared to a US/Canadian medical school) because there is a less nurturing environment AND you have to work twice as hard to prove that you are equal to American/Canadian medical graduates.
