Hello,

If I submit my AACOMAS, and take the MCAT july 2nd, how long should I expect it to be before I get secondaries?

When should I expect interveiws and an acceptance letter? (( provided I get them )

If I put a hobby in the AACOMAS's extracircular section, is that okay?

Do medical schools look at applicant's facebooks?

What are the most impressive extracirculators for medical schools?? ( I.e sports, reasearch, bull fighting, idk )

Does being a white male hurt my chances? Should I omitted putting race or religion on the application?

LASTLY ! My last three practice MCAT's have been 26 28 25.....is there a calculator that can help me predict my score on the real MCAT?

I would look at the schools some will send secondaries while waiting for mcat results as far as facebook no idea but I would not risk putting anything that could affect your chances.

Each school has their own timeline for secondaries. Some send them out early, some later.
When should I expect interveiws and an acceptance letter? (( provided I get them )
This is also highly variable depending on the schools and your interview. LECOM makes decisions the week after with letters sent the Friday after the interview.

I put hobbies there as I am a nontraditional and was out of school at the time of my application.

They have. I believe a user on here named Cole Smalls lost his acceptance due to a facebook post.

Each MCAT is a different test so there isn't a real good calculator for that. People tend to score overall fairly close to their MCAT averages though with slight subsectional differences.

You will receive your secondaries in days to weeks, depending on on the school. Acceptance letters largely depend on the school. Some will call you in a day, some in a couple weeks, and some, like MSU, leave you hanging till the end of the cycle without saying you're on a waitlist or anything.

I would only list hobbies that you have an exceptional level of dedication to and spend a good amount of time doing. Like, if you rock climb indoors once or twice a year, don't bother, but if you have reached the summit of a couple notable mountains, you might throw it in there. If you lift weights, don't bother, if you're a competitive powerlifter, you could add it. Etc. Plenty of secondaries will give you opportunities to expand on your interests as well, so don't worry about fitting everything into the app.

Anything can be an exceptional EC. There is no "best" EC. The best one is the one you sell them on. I've heard a guy describe his groundbreaking research in a way that was so boring that I wanted to hang myself and I've heard a person talk about their ability to bake cupcakes with such passion and nuance that I was hanging on their every word. Presentation is everything.

They're going to look at your Facebook. Set that **** to private.

Being a white male will not hurt you in any appreciable way. Being a URM does give a very small number of people a boost, but the number that it helps is so negligible that it doesn't really affect your chances.

Your official AAMCs will give you a ballpark of your actual final test score. Most of the time, it will be somewhere in the range of the last few you took. Since you've only taken three, I'd bank on it being somewhere in the range of 25-28.

If I were to use a number it would be around 4 weeks to get verified and a few days before secondaries come in.

This can vary. If your stats are good, then you will hear from the school sooner than if your stats are not that great.

Yes. It is pretty much the reason why the section exists.

Definitely. There have been people denied in the past due to racist remarks on their Facebook pages. As for the ColeSmalls incident, it was actually to due a post on SDN, but was linked to his Facebook.

I would not worry about. If they pick you for an interview and acceptance, you know you got in because you were an excellent candidate.

No. It is rule of thumb on SDN to expect your real score to be in range with the aamc practice exams. Make sure to take as many AAMC practice materials as you can (including the self-assessment).

Depends upon where your stats are relative tot he floor the schools sets for thier minimum standards, and how compettive the apps are that year. Acceptance after an interview would be 1-2 weeks.

I beleive you get a prompt for that in secondaries. Save ECs for ECs.

Military veterans, Habitat for Humanity, Teach for America, Americorps, establishers of successful charitible foundations, Peace Corps members for it for me.

No, but having a poor GPA or MCAT and low EC hrs hurts your.
