hey all,

does anyone know if there is any way to reset the score for qbank? i just got the qbank + IV package and im wondering if i should use it for classes or push it off until im studying for step 1. i would like use it now with classes and again when studying for the test, but in order to gauge my performance, it would be nice to do reset the score. also, has anyone used the integrated vignettes part of qreview? any opinions on whether it should be done right before step 1 or with classes?

When I had Kaplan Q-Bank, there was no way to reset the questions. This makes sense for Kaplan, to prevent a bunch of people who buy one long subscription at discounted price then reset it over and over for each person to use.

I accidentally submitted a block of 50 with only a few questions completed (the phone rang, I was in a rush...) and it screwed up all of my marks that I had been tracking rather carefully. AFAIK, there is no way to reset it. Sucks.

it's OCTOBER.
why waste your time and money with q-bank right now?

He's not a gunner - he just wants to learn the stuff. There's a difference. As long as he's not interfering with someone else's grades or learning, he isn't a gunner. Nothing wrong with hard work.

Anyway, I got QBank in November and had it for nine months. Helped a ton with class study, and I think the long exposure really helped with Step 1 as well. And no, I couldn't reset the scores.

So that is what gunner means - someone who interferes "with someone else's grades or learning." WOW, was I using that term incorrectly or what?

And to think that every medical student I know has been using the term "gunner" incorrectly for the past 4 years....what a shame. I'll use "enthusiastic learner" from now on.

Yes, you were using it incorrectly. Gunners actively or passively sabotage their peers' efforts in order to make themselves appear stronger.

It seems more likely that others have been using it correctly, but you just missed the point.

Heaping derision upon people who merely work hard, even if you just can't comprehend their level of dedication/obsession, is childish and immature.

lol. thanks for the "advice." ive been qbank with my upcoming tests because we don't have any practice tests for pharmacology and im finding it really helpful to do questions/read explanations. sorry if that's being too much of a gunner for you. 🙂
