I decided to switch it up these last couple of days and do questions by subject to reinforce material. Doing it this way, you can really see how predictable the questions become which seems counterproductive if you want to simulate the real thing. Its almost as if you dont have to think! I guess I better get back to reality (and scores of 50%) by randomizing.

QB is like a video game......u learn to beat it....

after the first 1000 qs (and all that biostats crap) it becomes redundant...(even with randomized unused 50qs timed). I mean like souljah mentioned...there are only so many ways u can ask about pheochromocytoma .

i m seriously contemplating callin it quits on qb......

True.

Id rather not have a false sense of confidence about doing "well" on Qbank when really, all Im doing is winning the Kaplan game.

I rather have a false sense of insecurity than having a false sense of security thats why after Q-bank I'm hitting BSS. Seriously everything we hear about Q-bank is anecdotal so you will only know the truth after you sat for the Step.

Join the club. I remember half of the 50-something genetics questions involved Trisomy 18. Dumb.

Consider the fact that those sort of questions with answers are high-yield and the best way to learn them is through repetitiveness. Those redundant questions are simply concepts that show up all of the time. They could provide questions on very rare diseases to replace the redundant ones but those same rare diseases may rarely show up on Step 1.

I liked that they asked certain questions dealing with the same topic from different angles......except for SIADH. 😀 That topic is just plain abused in Qbank but you can almost count on a question or two on it in the real deal.
