Is there a square root function on the calculator for the QR section?

I know on the ADA site it shows the basic calculator and it has it on there.. but I just wanted to confirm it with someone who took the DAT recently.

Also, what was your experience with the calculator? Was it really laggy, etc?

Thanks 🙂

i have not taken the dat but the calculator does have the square root function
i dont know if its laggy but it does take time to click each button i.e. if you have to divide 500 by 1.5. that will take you a few seconds to punch in. but its still better to waste a few extra seconds than to try and do it by hand and get it wrong. I know when I take the DAT, im following 1 approach on math. If I see a problem and dont know what they want, I wont even think about it. Automatically guess, mark and move on. But if I see a problem that needs basic calculations to solve or might take me 2 to 3 mins to solve but I can GUARANTEE that I get the choice correct, Im going for it. (an example of this includes the age or coin problems, which tend to take more time to set up but are guaranteed points if you take the time to solve them vs. a geometry or hard simplification problem that leads to errors)
