As you practice more, you will both naturally improve your speed and increase your exposure to types of questions so that less time is spent figuring out how to begin solving them and more time is spent jumping straight in to the calculation. I found CrackDAT's math helpful for getting timing down, but I prefer Math Destroyer for the more challenging questions.

The only piece of advice I can offer for timing is the common one you'll hear a lot: if you can't figure out how to solve the problem within the first 10 seconds or so, mark it and move on. Solve all the questions you do know how to solve and then go back to the ones that are more challenging.

Very good point you've made Feralis about skipping the problem after 10 seconds. How exactly do you do that? I mean... 10 seconds is extremely short time, and a lot of these DAT questions take more than 10 seconds to really understand the question, at least for me...

And lucensdentium, I want to say... you are fine. I would not stress about getting high score on math, even though it is better to get a higher score, a lot of schools do not focus on math score as much as sciences and RC sections. Also, Idk if you've gone over this already, but I found Chad's math section extremely helpful. I'm sure you get stuck on certain type of question. Find those type of questions and go take chad's math quizzes.
