I seem to have problems with QR. There are always too many lengthy word problems. I can never finish on time. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to tackle this section?

practice practice practice. You know how they like to ask certian type of questions (like age problems), so know how to do them. When I took my first practice test, i bombed QR. Could do probably 30~35 questions in the time and still had a few mistakes. It's mainly because i'm not used to doing math without a calculator. If you still have your SAT book handy, practice the math sections without a calculator. Once you get in a flow, the QR section isn't too bad. Just be careful and don't make silly mistakes. When I was taking the test today, i was fairly relaxed during the QR section (right after the intense reading comprehension part), pacing myself, and I had like 4 minutes to spare after i was done. That was after about 5~6 practice QR sets. Just relax and take a deep breath. If you're stuck on something, move on to the next question and go back after you're done. Don't linger too much on one specific question, which really does kill the time.
