Hey Everyone---
Math is weak point and I am really scared for the QR portion of the test...Does anyone have any idea of what I should do to prep for that portion of the exam??? how important is QR on the DAT???

Any refresher courses???
Any study materials---Books?
I am willing to take additional math classes!

Please let me know!!!

Most of the math in the QR section is fairly simple - what makes the section "hard" is the limited amount of time you have to answer all the questions. I think the best thing you can do is to go over the concepts from any DAT review book, and then do to as many practice questions as possible. You will notice that the same type of questions show up repeatedly on tests. Doing a lot of practice questions will make you comfortable and familiar with the steps to take to answer the DAT QR section.

Maybe someone else here can recommend a good DAT QR review book for dent12?

In my opinion, the best book to start preparing for the DAT is the big blue Kaplan DAT book. You can get it at most large bookstores, or you can order it through Amazon.

It has a good QR section with practice problems. Make sure you practice all the math problems, focusing on learning all the "tricks" to solve the problems fast. Speed comes with practice. There is no way around it. If you are already a little weak with math, you will need to practice longer and harder than some other students. Remember, the difference between scoring a 15 and a 20 on QR is full point difference on your AA average. Therefore, that answers the question "is QR important"?

If QR wasn't important, it wouldn't be on the DAT!!!

If you need more QR problems, buy another DAT prep book (search SDN for DAT prep suggestions), and/or hire a math tutor.
