maybe it's better if you post any specific math questions that you have.

if you really want an answer to ur question, u should check out those sample dat programs/tests. I'm sure what it has will be useful.

Lol, just keeping reading people's test results religiously.

People post up stuff without really thinking about it that you may find helpful about specific problems that is probably border line bending the rules.

Making a thread like this won't go over well, however.

The math section just totally frigging sucked. Be VERY prepared for it and focused and fast and eghhh!

honestly
i think QR is the easist section to "improve"
there is really only a limited types of questions, unlike bio or chem/o-chem, where the topics covered are much broader(especially bio)

it seems to me the real question with QR is not about the questions "too difficult", but rather "too many questions"
as long as you practice a lot you really can speed things up a lot more.
and 45 questions in 60min is a quite reasonable task.

I do agree that Bio in principle is a lot harder than QR. Problem is that QR at the moment does not have a study tool like the Destroyer to systematically study on. It's also really too bad that many people seem to forget that QR factos in just as much as the other four sections in the final AA. While it is true that it does not carry as much weight as RC, I see too many scores on here that show a 14-16 in QR that stand out; hopefully it won't hurt them too much in the eyes of the ADCOM.

I agree 100%...all you need is practice practice and more practice! there are so many questions to solve...destroyer(127), topscore (6 tests - 40 questions in each), achiever ( 3 tests - 40 questions in each ). If you do questions from those 3 materials and understand all the problems you are fine!! you dont need crazy 10 books to good on QR...time is the important factor for this section. I started off with 15 and now i score 19 (got 21 once -it was freaking exciting!!😀) and i know i can do better - i just need more practice under time conditions!

dont they have 3 complete tests and 3 tests for individual sections? unless those 3 are similar...i have only done individual so far so i dont know if the complete tests contain the same set of questions as the individual tests. I hope not!

It's funny cause everyone getting low, low scores in QR says they have used Destroyer, Topscore, and Achiever.

And they still get low scores. And for kickers, many of them act like they rocked the practice exams with 20+ scores, and still got owned on the DAT....

i will let u know how i do after i take the real thing! m scoring mostly 19...so i should atleast score 19 on the real thing as well

Somone posted that there are 45 ?'s in 60 min. I though it was 40 ?'s in 45 min. Which is it?

Thanks!

I just took the dat yesterday. one advice I can give you is that don't spend too much time on complicated word problems. if the question looks like you've never seen like it before and may take you 2 min to solve, make a guess, mark and move on to the easier ones down the road.
