Guys i am not sure why this is not the right answer. i think for some reason the problem is worded wrong. but correct me if i am wrong:

1. A person sells 5 carrots for a dollar each and suffers a loss of 4%. How many carrots he should be selling for a dollar to make a 20% profit?

A. 2
B. 3
C. 4
D. 5
E. 6

Ans. is 4 but how could it be?

whre did you get this problem from?? i would hav gotten E.6
sells 5 carrots for $1 each so He's making $5 dollars then loses .20 cents so making 4.80.
to make 20% profit of 5 dollars is 1 dollar more...so he should be selling 6 carrots to make an extra dollar........aint it rite?

If by selling 5 carrots for 1 dollar each he is losing money then how can he make profit by selling carrots for less tha a dollar (like 4 for a dollar). It isnt possible, there is something wrong here.

this q. makes no sense.......i think the person who made up this question wasn't even thinking!!....
