Hi everyone,

Is it me, or does there seem to be something funky about the QR section on the DAT as of late [since this month]? I haven't personally taken my DAT yet, but from the looks of the last several people posting on the forum, the scores look unusually low compared to the rest of the exam. Just makes me wonder if I should just automatically request my exam be audited when I sit down for it next month :\

EDIT: I'm wondering if we should start surveying anyone who has taken the DAT lately and feel that their score is inaccurate. If there's so many people affected, maybe it's worth writing to the ADA about it?

Nope your correct, I took mine last sept. and got a 16 in QR. I was stunned, not bc imma math genius or anything but the problems were very easy. I remember for at least 6-8 you just typed straight into the calculator. Timing is only hard part about it to me. Also they are preparing to change that part of the test so they throw in those questions that "dont count" which to me is b.s. Like I said I'm know mathematician but the less # of questions, the more your average is effected when you miss a question. I know "its the same for everybody" but 1 question could be the difference between having a 15 and 19.

By the way I have no idea if 1 question makes that much of a difference but just some food for thought.

We still have no idea what's going on. While it could be a huge bug, it could also be that some QR is just harder than it seems.

No need to be worried about it, just study as usual and take your exam calmly. I took my exam on the 2nd, and my QR was fine, as I'm sure most people's are.
