Alright so I've been preparing for the sciences and I've also been thinking about the QR section. I know there are a lot of random equations like the surface area of a sphere and lateral area of a cone etc. I was wondering if it would be beneficent to even memorize these or not? How did you go on to prepare for this section? Just a bunch of problems? Thanks SDN-ers! 😀

IMO those are the easy things to remember. The word problems are the ones that will consume most of your time. Practice those and just remember the formula aren't that bad. sphere 4/3Pi(r^3) V; Surface area 4Pir^2. Lateral area 1/2Cl. My point is, memorizing formula is time saving on the QR so that you can use your time for other challenging problems. I don't know whether you took the practice DAT; I always ran out of time before I can finish 3/4 of the 40 problems in the 45 mins.

no I haven't taken it yet, but I feel like you are right... I guess I'll memorize those as well🙁.. thanks!

any questions regarding the standard deviation on the real DAT? I usually skip those in the Math Destroyer 😀

That's a good question. I forgot that I was supposed to memorize the standard deviation. Knowning enough will get you average grade; I don't plan to get an average score. Study hard & GL, you guys!
