.... make me wanna cry. please someone tell me they are more difficult than the real thing.

They are more difficult than the real thing. I've been scoring average of 16 on the QR subject tests #1-7, but the QR sections on the full-length Kaplan exams are easier.

I was thinking the same, but for orgo and even general chem.. I hope the real thing is not as hard either.. I haven't taken math yet

those subject tests make my head hurt!!! like literally. there is no way, I can do those word problems in 30 minutes, no wayyyyyy.
I just stopped doing them after the 4th one. I think it's waste of time when I can spend my time taking a full lengh test🙂

yeah, i had my schedule all planned out today (which i'm proud to say I mostly stuck to)... but anyway, when math time came up I remembered I had the math subject tests that I hadn't gone through. needless to say, i didn't make it through a single one.

i just went and did Destroyer...

17 (1st test) 18(2nd test) 18(3rd test)

Achiever:
21 (1st test) 22 (2nd test)

Real DAT:
26

so yes, the real DAT is easier...but you still need to study and practice to get faster

Ya dude; if you did all the Kaplan Subject Tests, how did you perform? Were they comparable with TopScore or Achiever?

I did two Kaplan tests for QR and I did miserably. I take issue with Kaplan tests for QR because they take too much time. Each question requires too many steps and numbers aren't very clean all the time. The real DAT isn't like that. It doesn't require 5 minutes of work per question.

Kaplan is great as a learning tool to teach you steps to figure stuff out, but it is not a good representation of the real test in terms of how much work is needed to complete a single question.

I've been doing them.. I'm in number 3 and they are taking me forever.. but I'm doing them because I think it is good practice and it will help.. I can do them, but they take forever to figure out sometimes.. am i wasting my time?
