I'm not sure if anyone has been in the same boat as me. I'm looking around and inquiring for a 1 bedroom apartment to be living by myself for optometry school. I've contacted a couple places and they've both told me I would need a co-signer/guarantor obviously, however the guarantor needs to make 5x more the monthly rent, which I don't qualify for. I told both places I will be using my student loan to cover my rent expenses and asked how that can be included in terms of qualification and no one has been able to give me a proper answer, and now I'm stuck in a dilemma. Has anyone been in a similar situation?

You might get better info from your school since I’m sure they go through this year after year.
Also most schools have a Facebook page for students which might be more helpful!
