Does anyone know how this factors into the decision factor (if at all)? My school calculates quality points and it seems to be the same, or very similar procedure. I searched but did not find a scale or any real information on this. Mainly I am just wondering what a good number is if it matters at all.

What?

Quality points/attempted hours=GPA

So your total quality points are not looked at at all, just the final GPA? I'm just wondering if that number in itself means anything.

No that number alone doesn't mean anything. That's like telling someone you got 60 marks on an assignment without telling them what the assignment was out of. Quality points alone don't say anything without knowing attempted credits/hours.

The numbers that matter are your total hours (because there is a minimum requirement for most dental schools) and the ratio between quality points/total hours, because like kayden28 mentioned, that should be your GPA 🙂
