Organic = Carbon-lovers' delight!
Quantitative Chem = Sadists' delight!

It's nothing like General Chem II. It's like a semesters' worth of flogging it into your brain that being anal is cool.

If you're not a chemistry major, I recommend skipping this particularly delightful class. Take Physical Chemistry if you want a challenge that might actually give you some pleasure.

I don't know that I would recommend PChem either......most of the people I know who have taken orgo and loved it, thought PChem was pretty aweful and really hard!

You like ochem, so you'll hate quant. I was the opposite. Pchem just blows no matter who you are.

I am taking that class right now. I like the material, but hate the fracking excell work. The instructor treats it as if it is a ten unit class. I have finished a double major and have never had a professor as anal as this one. There are endless hours of excell, quizz, home work, lab report. 👎 😱 :meanie: :scared:

Why do you think they call it ANALitycal Chemistry? 😀

I had to take a lecture class in Analytical Chem, a lab in Analytical Chem, two lecture classes in P-Chem, and a lab in P-Chem... HAD to... as degree requirements... TRUST ME...

If you like Math, computers, Excel, and tedious work - Analytical Chem.
If you like Physics, theory, Math, and Maple Math program - P-Chem.

Analytical Chem is time consuming and tedious but not hard. P-Chem is interesting and mind-boggling, but can be difficult.

Just an opinion 🙂

Its just a 2 credit lecture course thank god. But im not looking foward to it. As my schedual next year is looking like LA301- expository writing, Biochem, Cell Bio, Quant analysis and a PE
