i'm really struggling with the quantitative reasoning section on the practice OATs i've been taking - i honestly finish a little over half of the questions, so i end up with a really low scores. i'm wondering if anyone has advice for this section (it's killing me... :scared: ) is it really better to skip the word problems? (i get bogged down on the annoying age questions, like if anne is 3 years younger than sue, blah blah) thanks! 🙂

do the easy one first.. skip around.... then, when you have one minute or so left make sure you bubble in your "guess" answer for the others. that way you'll get at least a few more "right" possibly upping your score to the next highest 10.

I agree with cpw. Do all the easy ones first, and be sure to mark the right bubble next to the question number if you are doing that. I honestly got through perhaps 25/50 questions that I felt that I got correct, and then I did 10 tougher questions. I then guessed for the remaining minute or so I had left. I managed to get a 330, not the greatest, but not too bad. =)

Good luck,

Rosanna
