When I took it last Sept., there was definitely not 90% word problems. There was a good mix of different prob types.

I'm re-taking it next week....hoping for a better overall score!

Good luck!

AT12,

I'm taking mine on April 15th... How about you? If u don't mind, can you tell me whether it will be 90% word problems or not? Thanks.

I have taken the DAT twice. The first time I had about 15 word problems and did not finish. So, I got a book just for word problems and learn how to do them all. The second time I got about 10 trig problems and 4 of them were the kind where you say what the hell is that. I can't remember that stuff from class several years ago. The hard trig idenities like on DAT Achiever but two were even worse. I did better the second time around but I found it to be the hardest section due to time and the variability of what can pop up. You really have to be able to do it all because you never know what will show up.

relax...most of these problems are common sense. do the ones you can and come back to the ones you got stuck on. you can at least hit an 18 for that.
