quarter system question/ skipping physics 1

I don't think that would work, since most schools require 8 semester units of Physics and assuming your classes were 4 units each, what you'll have is 6.7 semester units. (1 quarter unit = 2/3 semester unit according to amcas.)

I took physics 1 at a school that uses the quarter system. They split physics into 3 quarters, so we didn't quite cover the same material as physics 1 at a semester school. I think it was mostly mechanics.

I'm now at a semester school and want to go right into physics 2. (I'll self study what I missed).

Will this meet the pre-req requirements? It's technically not 2 semesters, but if I do well in Physics 2, I don't see why it would matter?

It needs to be a full year of physics, no matter how you split up the year. (8 hours.)
