Isf so what should you focus when studying...and do you know if there are out there some released or unreleased exams of some sort????

Can someone give me some tips????

Thanks

I live in Quebec. Are you talking about the examns to Ordre des dentistes?

Yes. Are you going to take the exam elle?

I heard from a dentist here in alberta that practicing in QUebec is not really good. He said that there are way more taxes and you don't get payed as good as the rest of Canada. Is that true?

Everybody says that in Quebec salaries are smaller than in Alberta or BC or ON.
Taxes are 14,5%; also you must speak French as English in order to practice in Montreal area. Actually, French is the official work language here.
But people are great, they realy love life, they are warmer than in other provincies. In Montreal suburbs, you can buy a new house with 350.000 cad - 400.000 in a very good area. The rent at 2 bedrooms is not more than 850-900 cad in the heart of Montreal. There are some excellent public schools; I mean EXCELLENT and you don't need to pay for them.
AT Université de Montreal, the program for dentists like us costs 55.000cad for 3 years.

Hi Dralana1977!!

I've tried to pass the exam on april 13th this year, I've got 72%
What i could say about it is that it's nonsense
The purpose of this exam is to earn money from people
Half of the exam was about dental materials and the other half orthodontics complex cases
I definitly will not redo it next year, and absolutely not redoing any new studies (I already have DDS, and diploma in oral surgery from Paris, and diploma in implantology and other stuff with 7 years of experience)
So I'm leaving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck and if you need anything, just contact me
my email is [email protected]

By the way, you can study the same materials as for the NBDE or the ACFD

it is nice to see some one thinking about quebec too.🙂
