There are no random values added. Start by putting the median (middle) number which is 82. It will be the 3rd number since we have a total of 7 numbers. Then we'll put the lowest score which is 70. After 82 put 87 twice since it's the mode ( the number that repeats the most). Now we have to find the largest possible score ( the 7th number ) that will give us an average of 80. This means that the 2 numbers following 70 should be 71 and 72. Set it up like the solution shows and you get 91.
