Hi guys,
I have to pick my 4th year electives for next year soon and I'm kind of undecided about which specialty to pick, either fp or psych. Any ideas as to what to do electives in so that I get good exposure to both?

electives in both FP and psych 😛 Do them at a couple different places, and see which one you fit in with the most - you can also do a research elective if you want.

I actually did all my electives in psych but I did research, c&L, inpatient and involuntary separately.

Good luck!

i'm doing ER, Urgent Care at VA, family practice, and a month of internal medicine... as a rule, I think you should do a month of internal medicine just to get yourself better and to prepare for internship year...

Make sure you consider a child psych rotation. It's a really cool field and you may find your life's calling there. It is so different from adult psych.
