hi guys hope you can help me out here.

when i am entering my grades for the application, the computer puts the fall semester ahead of the spring semester for the same year even though the spring semester took place first. is that normal?

For ex. aacomas puts Fall 2003 as session 4 and Spring 2003 as session 5 even though the spring 2003 semester occurred first.

please let me know if that is what happens in general. thanks

Here are the directions from aacomas:

Year: Enter the academic year in which you took each course. The academic year is defined as beginning with the summer session and includes the following fall and spring terms. For example, a course taken during the spring of 1998 should be entered as 1997 because it is part of the 1997-1998 academic school year.

that should fix your problem

Hi DocSophina,
The 2003 academic year as we know it is Fall/Spring 2003-2004. In AACOMAS, however, enter the course under the beginning of the academic year. So your Spring 2003 course is really part of "Spring 2002" for AACOMAS purposes...Here is the instruction from the AACOMAS website:

Does this help?? Anyone else want to verify this?
