Hello,

I know that AACOMAS takes repeated courses and replaces them with the higher score. However, I can't figure out if the cGPA is calculated on all undergrad work or only work completed until a degree is earned. For instance, can I count my post-bac science courses in my undergrad cGPA even though I did the courses after being awarded the degree? I ask because I know that the law school admissions committees only count coursework up until a degree is awarded (to stop people from doing postbacs to boost GPAs). Any ideas?

I think post bac is listed separately

I believe that your DIY post-bac work is counted in your cumulative GPA as well as your overall science GPA, which is what schools see. They may have a section separate for Post-bac and Undergrad, but they combine the two when taking into account your overall and science GPA's. If someone else could chime in on this and confirm, that be great.

Right, you are correct. AACOMAS will show what your cGPA and sGPA are in sum (including all undergraduate work - courses toward your degree and courses completed after you graduated in a post-bacc), but it will also show separate lines for your cGPA and sGPA from your undergraduate degree on its own, and your post-bacc on its own. Schools probably all have different ways of really interpreting this info, especially if there are major discrepancies in your grades from undergrad vs. post-bacc, but for the most part, the OVERALL cGPA and sGPA are most important!
