Question about abuse

No, I am not talking about having to take this exam. I have run into conflicting information about reporting spousal abuse. I know it is mandatory for children under 18 and the elderly, but one source (rhymes with Raplan) says that reporting spousal abuse is not mandatory. Any ideas?

i agree with kaplan. i believe spousal abuse is not mandatory. cant remember if i got that from some reading or class lecture.

In California it is mandatory...it must vary by state.

Yup, it varies by states for spousal abuse. Child abuse is mandatory everywhere, reporting it that is...

i remember a question in UW where the explanation stated that child/spousal/elder abuse needs to be reported so i guess there isn't any fixed ruling on the spousal abuse (and if it varies from state to state, my guess would be that they wouldn't ask it as a question... i think)
