Hi, so I got accepted to a dental school that isn't necessarily my first choice and I need to submit a deposit along with a DMD Acceptance Confirmation Form to hold my spot. If I hear back from my state school and get accepted there would submitting the acceptance confirmation form to the school I got accepted to prevent me from attending another school? I know I won't get the deposit back, but I'm not willing to take the risk to lose a spot I have just incase I don't get into my first a choice. I'm sorry I'm just new to this and would love to hear what you guys have to say about this. Thanks!

No. A deposit is exactly what it sounds like, a deposit.

Put your deposit down and wait, but you'll be forced to choose your true alliance in April.

Good luck!
Unless they get in post April. April is when you need to decide on one school otherwise schools are allowed to drop you from there class and fill the remaining spots. But if someone gets accepted to their top school in June (for example) they can drop out of the class they have already deposited at and put a new deposit at the school they were offered. Nothing is set in stone until the first day of classes. Anyone can get accepted at any point.
