these AI detectors are not always 100% accurate. They work off probabilities of what word fits best in relation to the previous word. It's possible your writing is similar to how AI would write. However, I'd make sure you check to see if there are any hidden characters placed into your writing by the AI. I was reading lately that some Ai models leave a hidden watermark in the text that can be a clue to whether or not you've used AI. Could try this link just to see. I'd also make sure sentences have variation in length and don't all read and sound the same.

If you wrote the text by yourself and used AI to help fix grammar and punctuation, it really shouldn't be dinged as 75% Ai. If it makes you feel better I took some college writing samples before Ai was ever a thing and I got dinged anywhere from 30-70% for my writing. So it's not always that accurate.

First, our genAI surveys have suggested most are using AI tools to help with grammar, spelling, and tone. As long as you are not relying on genAI tools to create an essay for you, you should be fine. Schools and AADSAS have not yet come out with a statement regarding use of AI in admissions, but AAMC has issued some general principles.

GenAI is only as useful as the prompts you give it. Sometimes it's useful if you are lost for words, but always check the work. Don't worry about the genAI detectors. I am reminded how some prosecutors wanted to convict cocaine users if they carried any bills tainted with cocaine. However, the entire cash supply quickly became contaminated, rendering such a prosecutorial strategy ineffective.
