I know I may be jumping the gun, but this has been bothering me lately.
About a month ago I got a job being an EKG tech, since the dean of the medical school I want to go to told me patient interaction is key when it comes to EC's. Well to sum it up, I ended up having to quit because of the hours (too many overnights). Couldnt handle it taking 17 hours with labs (First semester junior). In total I only ended up having about 35 or so hours logged.
Now the question is whether or not when I apply next year if I should even mention this on amcas.
My MCAT and gpa are above par, but my ECs are lackluster (hospital volunteer, fraternity, AED....thats about it)
During the month I did work I did get lots of experience, but I know having a job for a month looks pretty crappy.
Would you mention it? I feel as though my time for EC's is getting shorter.
