Just a quick question. If I were to apply to Optometry schools in my senior year, would there be one gap year before I actually get in? Do people usually apply in their Junior year?

No. People start to apply the summer between their junior and senior year. BUT, you can continue to apply well into your senior year. For example, there were still interviews being conducted in April for those who are in their last year.

So in short, no. Applying in your senior year will not result in a one year gap.
