I'm a resident preparing to practice in Arizona. I've completed most of the application. All that's left at this point is the AZ jurisprudence exam.

Can anyone shed light on this test? What's it like? How long? I downloaded their two documents:

These two files contain 59 pages of laws, rules, and regulations. Anyone have any suggestions to prepare for the exam?

Hope it isn't too tough. I think I have to get a 70 or 75% to pass. Would appreciate any feed-back.

I noticed you did not get any response to your forum question regarding the jurisprudence exam. I am getting ready to take it next week any suggestions to prepare for the test? Anyone else have advice?

Hi,
I was wondering if you found any resource for this exam. I have to take it in a couple weeks and have no idea what to do.
I appreciate it if you could give me some advice.
Thank you

Hi!

Good luck, you will do fine just study the two docs you printed. If you fail it you can take it over the very same day after you review more. Know all renewal of lic. and change of address rules, disp. drugs, duties of asst. and hygienist, fines ect. and all will be good.

*Bumping

I'm a California dental resident who is looking at some jobs in Arizona so I will be taking this exam sometime soon. I have no clue what to expect and I unfortunately have minimal time to study. I asked one Arizona dentist and he said to just "memorize everything" and "its a piece of cake." Obviously this wasn't very helpful. 🙁 I'm pretty much eating PB&J everyday to pay for this 1 hour trip and lord knows how I'm going to pay for this license...so it would be nice to know that its fairly easy to pass.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I guess a few more specific questions I have re: the exam are the following:

1. How long should one prepare? 1 week? 3 months? 5 hours?
2. Is the passing rate so high that its not even worth the worry?

Sorry, one more question! How early should I take this exam? I have another big residency licensing exam in late April 2011 and would preferably like to take the Arizona Jurisprudence Exam after. But I don't want it to delay getting my license by late July/early August.

In Cali, the entire licensing procedure took 6 months since they got all my documentation so I'm worried AZ may be the same? If that's the case, then I guess I'll take the AZ Jurisprudence Exam in late February.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!
