I am just curious, once someone gets some buildup in their arteries, is it possible to reverse that with excercise, diet, etc? or does buildup stay once it is there? I was just curious, I am still only premed, so i don't know all this stuff yet.

I believe it's reversible up until you form calcifications.

there is NOTHING you can do to reverse the process... plaque actually starts building up in 3 month olds!!! (based on histology sections of aorta)... but there is a lot you can do to ****** progression of the disease (better diet, no smoking, etc...)...
