Hey,

I have to fly into Houston for an interview next Friday at Baylor (I am on the east coast). It seems like things don't end until 7:30 pm, which makes it very difficult to find a flight back that evening. Do people who have to fly spend 2 nights there? Do people leave before 7:30 if they have a flight to catch? Not quite sure what the correct move is here. I guess I will end up spending a second night there, unless you guys have other thoughts...

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I had to spend 2 nights, but I thought it was worth it, but couldn't you find a really early flight if you truly only want to spend one night?

right after your interviews I'm sure you could leave if you had to (this would be 4 or earlier!), but I found the information sessions afterwords to be helpful and actually pretty entertaining (they are run entirely by students).

the day (other than the event at two rows) ended before 7 (maybe even 630) if I remember correctly.

You could definitely leave earlier. The event at two rows was actually kind of pointless. What was more meaningful was staying with my student host who was awesome (we went out afterwards and did some sake bombs 🙂) Did you apply for the student host program? I highly recommend it. Also, if possible, try and get your flight into Hobby rather than Bush Intctl because it's like 40 minutes away and a $50 cab ride one way, so if you could get a mildly more expensive flight out of Hobby, the time and cab-fare savings may be well worth it. I wouldn't book a flight earlier than 7 though, as the day wasn't over until 5 or 5:30.

Thanks for the input guys.

I'm flying into Hobby, per RDood's suggestion, and i'm catching a 5 am flight back saturday morning, so I can hang out and party friday night and just crash on the plane. One night of hotel (no, I didn't get around to signing up for the student host deal) and some good times friday night. It's gonna be sweet. 🙂

'preciate the suggestions.
