Hey guys, I'm applying this cycle and I just wanted to make sure I was good on the biology requirement. The first university I attended didn't have a biology department and their replacement was zoology. I was counting "Principles of Zoology" and "Cell Biology" as my two biology courses but I have also taken "Anatomy" and "Physiology for Engineers" (not sure if this counts). One of my friends was just mentioning that he didn't think that the zoology class counted for the principles of biology class. The zoology class transferred to my current university as principles of biology. Any thoughts? I also had integrated labs with "Principles of Zoology", "Cell Biology", and "Anatomy". Do these fill the lab requirements?

Your best bet is to call AACOMAS

My school had zoology prefixes for nearly all the life science courses outside micro. If the course description matches that of what you would expect in a commonly-titled 'intro to biology' course, you should be good.

Alright thanks! Also, I was reading on some school sites that they require general biology. My current school uses principles of biology and cell biology as the replacement for general biology I and II. Do schools accept this? Does the prerequisite requirement allow any biology class or does it need to be general bio I and II?

You'll be fine. What you took was basically general biology 1 & 2 with another name.

You are good...
