Hey fellow SDNers.

I'm currently studying for the August PCAT out of the 08 Kaplan book and am on the chemistry section as of now.

My question for those that have taken it, were there questions where:

  • stoichiometry/Limiting reactants
  • computing problems involving hard equations like those in the thermodynamics, rate laws, half life-arrhenius equation, and those equations involving natural logs
Or was it straight up concept questions with a few easy basic calculation problems that are do-able without calculators?

Thanks for the help guys. 👍

There typically is more concept questions, but you likely will have questions like the ones you described where you do have to know those equations. The calculations are all pretty easy. Definitely know how to deal with natural logs because you'll probably get those on the math section too.
