Question about Case Western secondary

For the essay character limit, do they mean with or without spaces?

I dont think they mean with spaces. I typed a page single space with one inch margins in word then pasted onto the secondary. The essay comes out to 4000 characters with spaces (exactly one page) but 3500 without spaces included. I just typed one page. You can paste thirty pages in there and it would still take it.....

I was thinking that too. I typed a single page for each essay and each one comes out to ~4000 characters with spaces. Since they each fit on one page, I'll think I'll just submit it as-is.
