Alright, so I go to a school that is on the quarter system and they offer a three quarter organic chemistry lecture series (almost done) each 3 credits and then one quarter of lab that is also 3 credits which leads to a total of 12 credits for organic chemistry. They expect 8 semester hours, and to convert that to quarter hours you multiply by 1.5 which gives 12 so this will fullfill dentals schools requirements of one year of organic chem with a lab correct (even though I was not in lab for that full year)?

That should fulfill your requrirements. its interesting how you only have 1 quarter of O-Chem Lab. At most schools lab last all year and goes along with the lecture. but if thats how your school does it then it should work.

It cant hurt to call a few schools and ask.,

yeah i agree, it is weird, i transferred from a semester school where the lab corresponded with the lecture and both last one full year, as it should. I did look on some schools websites and requirements and most want a full year with one fourth of the required hours coming from lab, so semester hours it would be 2 out of the 8, or 3 out of the 12 for quarters. I am going to call and confirm at some schools just to make sure though.
