Don't know about the programs but frankly each city is very expensive place to live...Seattle tho' is much less expensive than NYC!

I did a 1 month surg path elective at columbia and may be able to answer a few questions.

The only thing I know about UW is that their CP is highly rated.

I think you've got things mixed up.

UW = University of Washington in Seattle
Wash U = Washington University in St. Louis

Regardless, I've heard both are excellent pathology programs. I think I know people training at both.
