In Goljan's lectures, he talks about how IgG only activates complement to C3b for opsonization in warm autoimmune hemolytic anemia resulting in extravascular hemolysis. IgM on the other hand is able to activate complement to C9 resulting in intravascular hemolysis.
Other sources including USMLEWorld and wiki say IgG is able to activate complement all the way to C9. Has anybody seen anything anywhere supporting/refuting his claim about IgG complement activation?
