So I am considering the possibility of getting accepted to a great school at an undesirable location. Now, I was wondering, how much opportunity do I get to live in other locations (other states) in medical school?
1. Do most schools require you to do core rotations in affiliated hospitals?
2. When it comes to elective rotations, how many away rotations (out of state) rotations can you do that is outside of your school's affiliate network? Can I literally do all my elective rotations in another state? So in other words, can I spend the entirety of my fourth year in a completely different location as my medical school?
3. Is there any restrictions on which elective rotations a student can apply to? Is it like when applying to med school, where your UG has no bearing on which med program you can apply to?
4. Is there any restrictions on which away rotations a student can apply to? Is it like when applying to med school, where your UG has no bearing on which med program you can apply to?
Thanks!
