Question about date of submitting application

I was scheduled to take my mcat in May so I would get my scores back by June, but I don't feel prepared. I was going to extend the date by a month or so but need to know how late can I submit my app to be verified and whatnot? What date should I expect to receive my mcat results and still be considered early to the application process? As far as being an applicant, I would say I'm average and submitting early would definitely help me out. Thanks in advance.

Get your app done and submit to one throwaway school (lots of threads on that) to get it verified. Just so when your MCAT score comes in you can send to everyone without any waiting. You can actually submit prior to MCAT to some but it seriously confuses some schools. I did that and it caused a few glitches and led to one instant rejection and several emails. Most schools don't eval u without an MCAT anyways, so submitting without it doesn't actually help or make you early.

Aug and Sept are considered on time for DO, as that is when most get the majority of apps.

I'd you take in June and submit July you will still be early. Applying with a bad MCAT just to be early can be even worse.

Just have everything in and verified and ready to send to schools you want. Including LORs. Sending to one school early will also show you how it all works as well so you'll know if you need any extras. Aug is OK but if you could by July it would help a little, as that is still early. But not as much as a bad MCAT would hurt. Aim for 505. Take a pretest and see how you do.

I submitted in July, had multiple interviews, and was accepted by Sept. Apply broadly.

Just wanted to say thanks, again. I re-registered for Mid-June. Scores come back July 19th, hopefully i'll have everything in by then.
