Question about Dental School Application Processing Fee

Hi,

I have paid a separate processing fee for 5 schools that I am applying this cycle. So far, I have only received a written letter from U. of Pacific confirming the receipt of this fee. I am not sure if some schools just provide a written letter of confirmation and some other schools do not even provide confirmation and expect us to call in to confirm.

For those of you who are applying to the following schools this cycle, when you log onto your ADEA AADSAS account, under "Payments," should the status of all schools say "Received."
- Boston U
- Case Western
- USC
- U of Pacific
- Tufts U

I know it's a bit late for me to ask this but I am not taking my DAT until early Nov and they said that the schools say they won't consider my application until I have completed my DAT. Thus, I submitted my application later than most ppl for this cycle! I am really hoping that I can get at least an interview from 1 school!

Check your online statement or bank statement to see if your funds have been transferred. Then give them a call to make sure they've updated your profile. Once you've done your DAT, you give ADEA some time to forward your scores to the schools that you requested!!! You can start calling after 2 weeks after your DAT exam...

Thanks for your reply. Will the school still inform ADEA that we have submitted the processing fee so that the status on our ADEA application will be changed to "received"?

you can also check with schools if they accept your unofficial DAT scores which you can fax as soon as you done...
I would not expect much from Case at this point though... they started interviewing people somewhere in July, so by the time your scores arrive they probably will have their class formed... NYU, Midwestern, even Pitt would have been a better chance for late application...

Some schools, maybe most of them... they dont update aadsas. so, i think it's better to call the schools, make sure they have your check in your application profile...

keep updating about 2-3 days... like you call in on monday, then call again wednesday, and again friday... (ermmm... i did that... 😛)
