Hello,

First time poster here. I have seen in many threads that programs will use Andrews or Bolognia for their curriculum, but what does this mean exactly?

Do they start on page 1 and say you should have the book finished by the end of the year? Are these books put together in the order they should be read?

Thanks.

My program doesn't do it in order. However, reading is assigned weekly. This reading is reviewed at the didactic session that week. We get through Bolognia between July until in service time.

We used Bolognia yearly, but have a corresponding Andrews reading schedule if a resident wishes to read that instead. First years are required to read at least Bolognia though.

Other books for peds/genoderms, dermpath, and surgery are usually required too.
