What is the name of the manipulation technique/course taught in DO schools that is unique to them and more importantly does it increase the workload in medical school as compared to md schools? How many hours can this class take up in terms of class time and studying(if applicable)

It does take up extra time. It's an extra course. I put in time to study the day/night before exams/practicals and end up fine in the course.
