How do adcoms feel about dropping classes? If I might get a D in a class, would it be better to drop it and retake it, instead of having a D on my transcript?

if ur sure ur gonna get a D, get a W and drop. Its easier to explain than a D.

A ((D)) wont kill you, however, I personally would not want that on my transcript, so yeah take the W. Re-do the class and try for a higher grade.

Drop it- the D stays on your record forever. Even if you re-take the class, the D is still averaged in.

Yeah, drop it. Some schools don't even count a D as passing, so yeah. Plus, a W looks a hell of a lot better than a D, and doesn't hurt your GPA.

Yes, if you are sure you are going to get a D, drop it. However, if you were in a class where you were going to make a C, you should keep it. The course can always be retaken.

But, a D is considered a failure anyway, and will destroy your GPA.
