I am taking 15 credits this semester of Biochem(with lab), Organic chem(with lab), Microbio(with lab), Ecology(with lab), and Psychology. Unfortunately, there is going to be a good chance that I will get a "D" in Biochemistry course as I did poorly on my midterm and my lab exam. If I drop this course and get a "W", will it look bad to adcoms that I took 12 credits this semester? I took 14 credits both semesters last year in my freshman year, and am worried that adcoms will think I am taking a light course load. I am from Canada, and so University of Waterloo states on their site that they want students who take full course load, so I guess I will have to go south of the border then.

I took 12 credits for at least 2 semesters and I got in.

15 credits?? that's like 19 or 20 at my school (I mean, all of those classes would add up to 19 or 20). If you're going to get below a C, you may as well drop it and retake it later.

Thanks for replying. Anybody else?

I had a W in cell biology because I was taking too many credits also. I got accepted to both schools that I applied to, so you shouldn't worry about it. It's better to have a W and retake it for a better grade than to stay in it and get a C or lower.
